Beans arrival at warehouse
“Asalan” or original green coffee beans travel a long distance before finally arriving at our facility. At Raja Putra Manggala, we design our warehouse for coffee storage in the best climate-controlled condition and space. It is important that we provide the best environment that allows these beans to stay in its authentic form and undamaged. For this reason, we operate under careful conditions with strict control based on safety and international standards.

Sampling
The first phase that follows after beans arrival is taking a small portion out from each bag that for sampling. The sampling method used is typically manual and by hands.

Testing
It is critical to source only the freshest and highest quality of beans. At this stage, no taste testing is conducted yet as we are still looking at the physical features, such as moisture and defect. It is also to determine if the samples match the prototype given prior and to set the item pricing.

Cupping
Our team will further observe the taste and aroma of selected samples in Cupping stage. This professional practice takes experience including sniffing, tasting, and identifying all characteristics of the beans including acidity, bitterness, sweetness, body, flavor and aftertaste.

Cleaning and Sun Drying
All Arabica coffee beans require sun drying process as a part of its essential process. We use sun-drying method to reach even-drying and dry to optimum moisture content or 12% moisture which fits the demand for export quality.

Sutton Machine
At Raja Putra Manggala, our Sutton machine is operated by our team who work to separate beans based on the weight of coffee beans ( heavy or light).

Screening
Screening process is essentially a process to separate the beans by the size ( big or small) and also even out the beans. Using a sieve machine, our staff also regularly monitor the screening process for the best and most even result.

Manual Sorting
At Raja Putra Manggala, there are 2 types of sorting process:
- Color Sorting
50% of our process quantity uses color sorting technique through a machine with 2 Ton capacity and is equipped with camera sensor and compressor. The machine works to separate the green and black-colored beans, where we keep only the green ones for best quality.
- Manual Sorting
Our manual sorting employs over 70 female seasonal workers manually sort beans to ensure that all beans are truly excellent. Using handpick technique, imperfections such as black or brownish beans, bad beans, dirt, stones and others are eliminated for a ready-packed export quality.

Packaging
Using high quality and new moisture-resistant standard food jute bags, our beans are packed in nett weight of 60 kg/ bag. Guaranteed for optimal freshness and safety, we also provide custom bag marking for our clients.

Our market covers both local and export/ international markets. Hence, we work with various export business providers in attaining the best prices, methods and delivery terms that satisfy our clients needs.
