Betel Nuts
Betel Nuts Arrival at Warehouse
Betel nuts arrive to our warehouse after being harvested by small local farmers and collected by our business partners. Also known as Pinang, this nut is one of the world’s most popular plants and demands are high from time to time. Hence, we prepare the quantity to the demand of our customers in the warehouse.
Sampling ( 100%)
We take out a portion of each bag that arrives in our warehouse for sampling purpose. Still using traditional and manual method, sampling is the first stage before testing to determine its overall quality.
Testing
Testing is carried out on the betel nuts sample to check on moisture and good cut. We focus on split-type nut but also answers to the demand for whole and boiled types based on orders.
Sundry
Our warehouse facility allows a sun-drying process in large quantity. Direct supervision is applied as it’s important to ensure its best moisture after drying process.
Manual Sorting
Sun-dried betel nuts are then manually sorted by our staff who are highly trained in sorting betel nuts to ensure consistent product quality as per our customers requirements.
Screening
Screening process uses a manual sieve method to further select good betel nuts from dirt and broken or damaged pieces.
Packaging
For our betel nuts that are already processed through all the steps above, we use high quality good grade jute bags to pack. As betel nuts are used for direct chewing, it’s important that we abide by this standard packaging.
